Pine River Lodge
Overlooking Beautiful Lake Vallecito
We were happy to find last minute reservations at a lake side cabin near Durango. The interior didn't bother us being a little 'rustic' lol. The Pine River Lodge has great reviews, a gorgeous spot on the lake and many one, two, and three bedroom cabins with kitchens to choose from some brand new. The one we chose had a maybe outdated interior but it's an authentic log cabin and we just loved the rock fireplace. It's a one bedroom cabin with kitchen and bath and a beautiful spot overlooking Vallecito Lake. Imagine our surprise when after we reserved this cabin, we got a new brochure from them and surprise! Our little cabin has been nicely updated since the photos below were taken. How nice! I have to admit the blue ceiling was worrying me just a tiny little bit....
